Musnad Ahmad 30:1827

Qutaybah narrated to us, he said: Layth ibn Sa'd narrated to us, from Mu'awiyah ibn Salih, from Abu Talhah, from Abu Hurayrah, that the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: "Whichever guest descends upon a people, and the guest wakes up deprived, then he has the right to take to the extent of his hospitality, and there is no blame upon him."
