Musnad Ahmad 30:1837

Ali ibn Bahr narrated to us, he said: Mu'tamir ibn Sulayman narrated to us, from his father, from Qatadah, from Abu Rafi', from Abu Hurairah, that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said: "When Allah, the Almighty and Majestic, created His creation, He wrote: 'My mercy has overcome—or preceded—My wrath,' and it is with Him above the Throne."
