Musnad Ahmad 30:1859

'Affan narrated to us, 'Abd al-Wahid ibn Ziyad narrated to us, he said: 'Umarah ibn al-Qa'qa' narrated to us, Abu Zur'ah—and his name is Haram ibn 'Amr ibn Jarir—narrated to us, that he heard Abu Hurayrah saying: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said: "Allah has guaranteed for the one who goes out in His cause—nothing drives him out except Jihad in the cause of Allah, belief in Me, and affirmation of My messengers—that I will admit him into Paradise, or return him to his dwelling from which he went out, having attained what he attained of reward or spoils."
