Musnad Ahmad 30:1866

'Affan narrated to us, Hammad ibn Salamah narrated to us, from Muhammad ibn 'Amr, from Abu Salamah, from Abu Hurairah, from the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, regarding the statement of Lut: "If only I had strength against you or could take refuge in a strong support" [Hud: 80]. The Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: "He was taking refuge in a strong support, [which was] his Lord, the Almighty and Majestic." The Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: "And Allah did not send a prophet after him except [that he was] among the elite of his people."
