Musnad Ahmad 30:1887

Affan narrated to us, Abd al-Rahman ibn Ibrahim narrated to us, he said: al-Ala’ ibn Abd al-Rahman narrated to us, from his father, from Abu Hurayrah, from the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, that he said: "Charity does not decrease wealth, and Allah does not increase a servant in anything by pardoning except in honor, and no one humbles himself for the sake of Allah except that Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, raises him."
