Musnad Ahmad 30:1895

Bahz narrated to us, Hammad bin Salamah narrated to us, from Ya'la bin 'Ata, from al-Walid bin 'Abd al-Rahman, that Abu Hurairah narrated from the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, that he said: "Whoever prays over a funeral, for him is a qirat, and whoever prays over it and follows it, for him are two qirats." 'Abdullah bin 'Umar said to him: "Look at what you are narrating, O Abu Hurairah, for you narrate much from the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace." So he took him by the hand and went with him to 'Aishah, and she confirmed Abu Hurairah. Abu Hurairah said: "By Allah, O Abu 'Abd al-Rahman, what used to occupy me from the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, was not trading in the marketplaces. Nothing concerned me regarding the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, except a word he would teach me, or a morsel he would feed me."
