Musnad Ahmad 30:1939

'Affan narrated to us, Hammad ibn Salamah narrated to us, he said: Muhammad ibn 'Amr narrated to us, from Abu Salamah, from Abu Hurairah, from the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, regarding the saying of the Almighty, the Majestic: "Ask him, what is the case of the women who cut their hands?" [Yusuf: 50]. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: "If it were I, I would have hastened the answer and would not have sought an excuse."
