Hadith 30:1970
Husayn ibn Muhammad narrated to us, in the interpretation of Shayban, from Qatadah, who said: Al-Hasan narrated from Abu Hurayrah, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: "The Children of Israel used to bathe naked, and the Prophet of Allah, Musa, possessed modesty and concealment, and he would conceal himself when he bathed, so they slandered him regarding his private parts." He said: "While the Prophet of Allah, Musa, was bathing one day, he placed his clothes upon a rock, and the rock departed with his clothes. The Prophet of Allah followed it, striking it with his staff, while saying: 'My garment, O stone! My garment, O stone!' until it brought him to a gathering of the Children of Israel and he stood in their midst. It stopped, and the Prophet of Allah took his clothes. They looked, and behold, he was the most beautiful of people in creation and the most balanced in form. The Children of Israel said: 'May Allah fight the liars of the Children of Israel.' This was his exoneration, with which Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, exonerated him."
