Musnad Ahmad 30:1974

Husayn narrated to us, Jarir narrated to us, from Muhammad, from Abu Hurayrah, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Adam met Musa, and he said: 'Are you Adam, whom Allah created with His Hand, and caused to dwell in His Paradise, and made His angels prostrate to, then you did what you did?' Adam said to Musa: 'Are you the one whom Allah spoke to, and revealed the Torah to?' He said: 'Yes.' He said: 'Do you find it written about me before I was created?' He said: 'Yes.' He said: 'So Adam defeated Musa in argument, so Adam defeated Musa in argument.'"
