Yunus narrated to us, he said: Al-Mastur—meaning Ibn 'Abbad—narrated to us, Muhammad ibn Ja'far al-Makhzumi narrated to us, he said: A man met Abu Hurairah while he was circumambulating the House (the Ka'bah) and said: "O Abu Hurairah, did you forbid the people from fasting on Friday?" He said: "No, by the Lord of the Ka'bah, but the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) forbade it."
