Sulayman ibn Dawud narrated to us, Isma'il—meaning Ibn Ja'far—informed us, he said: Sharik—meaning Ibn Abi Namir—informed me, from 'Ata' ibn Yasar, from Abu Hurayrah, that the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: "The needy person is not the one whom a date or two, or a morsel or two, turns away. Indeed, the needy person is the one who refrains from asking." Read, if you wish: {They do not ask people persistently} [Al-Baqarah: 273].
