Musnad Ahmad 30:2020

Ishaq ibn Isa narrated to us, he said: Abu Ma'shar narrated to us, from Abu Wahb, the freed slave of Abu Hurayrah, from Abu Hurayrah, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Shall I not inform you of the best of creation?" They said: "Yes, O Messenger of Allah." He said: "A man holding the reins of his horse in the way of Allah; whenever there is a cry of alarm, he mounts it. Shall I not inform you of the one who follows him?" They said: "Yes." He said: "A man with a small flock of sheep, who establishes prayer and gives zakat. Shall I not inform you of the worst of creation?" They said: "Yes." He said: "The one who asks by Allah, yet is not given by Him."
