Musnad Ahmad 30:2044

Sulayman narrated to us, Isma'il informed us, al-'Ala' informed me, from his father, from Abu Hurayrah, that the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: "The False Messiah (al-Masih al-Dajjal) will come from the direction of the east, and his intention will be Medina, until he descends behind Uhud. Then the angels will turn his face toward al-Sham (the Levant), and there he will perish." 'Abdullah said: "This is how my father said it in these hadiths."
