Mu'awiyah narrated to us, Abu Ishaq narrated to us, from Suhayl ibn Abi Salih, from his father, from Abu Hurayrah, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "There is not one among you who is wounded in the way of Allah—and Allah knows best who is wounded in His way—except that he will meet Allah in the state he was in on the day he was wounded; its color is the color of blood, and its scent is the scent of musk."
