Musnad Abu Hurairah (RA)

Hadith 30:2176

Muhammad ibn Mus'ab narrated to us, he said: Al-Awza'i narrated to us, from Al-Zuhri, from Thabit al-Zurqi, from Abu Hurayrah, who said: We were with Umar ibn al-Khattab on the road to Makkah when a wind stirred up. He said to those around him: "The wind." They did not reply to him with anything. He said: So what he asked about regarding that reached me, and I urged my mount until I caught up with him. I said: "O Commander of the Faithful, it reached me that you asked about the wind, and I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, say: 'The wind is from the spirit (rawh) of Allah, so do not revile it. Ask Allah for its good, and seek refuge in Him from its evil.'"
