Musnad Ahmad 30:2214

'Affan narrated to us, 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Ibrahim narrated to us, from al-'Ala', from his father, from Abu Hurayrah, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "I have been favored over the prophets with six things." It was said: "What are they, O Messenger of Allah?" He said: "I have been given the concise speech, I have been aided by fear [cast into the hearts of the enemies], the spoils of war have been made lawful for me, the earth has been made for me a means of purification and a place of prayer, I have been sent to all of creation, and the prophets have been sealed with me." "My likeness and the likeness of the prophets is like a man who built a palace, then he completed its construction and perfected its building, except for the place of one brick. People looked at the palace and said: 'How beautiful is the structure of this palace, if only this brick were in place!' Behold, I am that brick; behold, I am that brick."
