'Affan narrated to us, Shu'bah narrated to us, Dawud ibn Farahij narrated to us, he said: I heard Abu Hurairah say: "We had no food during the time of the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, except for the two black ones: dates and water."
