Musnad Abu Hurairah (RA)

Hadith 30:2267

'Affan narrated to us, Shu'bah narrated to us, he said: Salamah ibn Kuhayl informed me, he said: I heard Abu Salamah ibn 'Abd al-Rahman, in Mina, narrating from Abu Hurayrah, that a man came to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, demanding a debt from him, and he was harsh with him. He said: His companions intended to [harm] him, but he said: "Leave him, for the owner of a right has a speech [i.e., the right to speak]." He said: "Buy a camel for him and give it to him." They said: "We do not find [a camel] except for one of an age better than his age." He said: "Buy it and give it to him, for the best of you is the best of you in repayment."
