And the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, forbade two types of dress: the *samma’* (wrapping oneself in a garment such that no opening is left for the arms), and that a man should sit in a squatting position (*ihtiba’*) while wrapped in a single garment, with nothing of it covering his private parts. And he forbade *al-mulamasah* (buying by mere touch), *al-munabadhah* (buying by throwing the garment), *al-muhaqalah* (selling grain in the ear for harvested grain), and *al-muzabanah* (selling fresh dates on the tree for dried dates).
