9437 - Ali ibn Abdullah narrated to us, Hafs ibn Ghiyath ibn Talq ibn Mu'awiyah al-Nakha'i narrated to us, he said: I heard Talq ibn Mu'awiyah, he said: I heard Abu Zur'ah narrating from Abu Hurairah, that a woman came to the Prophet with a child of hers, and she said: "O Messenger of Allah, supplicate to Allah for him, for I have buried three." He said: "You have fortified yourself with a strong fortification against the Fire." Hafs said: "I heard this hadith sixty years ago, and I had not reached ten years of age, and I heard Hafs mentioning these words in the year one hundred and eighty-seven." 9438 - Abdullah ibn Muhammad narrated to us—Abdullah ibn Ahmad said: "And I heard it myself from Abdullah ibn Muhammad ibn Abi Shaybah"—he said: Abu Khalid al-Ahmar narrated to us, from Ibn 'Ajlan, from Zayd ibn Aslam, from Abu Salih, from Abu Hurairah, he said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "The Imam was only appointed to be followed; so when he says the takbir, say the takbir, and when he recites, remain silent." 9439 - Abdullah ibn Muhammad narrated to us, he said—Abdullah ibn Ahmad said: And I heard it myself from him—Hafs ibn Ghiyath narrated to us, from al-A'mash, from Abu Salih, from Abu Hurairah, that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) passed by Sa'd while he was supplicating, and he said: "The One, the One."
