Harun narrated to us, Ibn Wahb narrated to us, he said: I heard Haywah saying: Humayd ibn Hani al-Khawlani narrated to me, from Abu Sa’id, the freed slave of Ghifar, he said: I heard Abu Hurayrah saying: I heard the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, saying: "Do not withhold the surplus of water, and do not withhold the pasture, for the livestock will become lean and the dependents will go hungry."
