Musnad Ahmad 30:2396

Yahya narrated to us, from Ibn ‘Ajlan, who said: I heard my father narrating from Abu Hurairah, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Leave me as I have left you, for those who were before you were only destroyed by their excessive questioning of their prophets and their disagreement with them. So, if I forbid you from something, then abstain from it; and if I command you to do a matter, then perform of it as much as you are able."
