Musnad Ahmad 30:2427

Yahya ibn Sa'id narrated to us, from Shu'bah, if Allah wills, he said: Muhammad ibn Ziyad narrated to us, he said: Marwan used to appoint Abu Hurayrah as his deputy over Medina, and he would strike with his leg and say: "Clear the way, the Amir has come, the Amir has come." Abu al-Qasim, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said: "Allah will not look at the one who drags his lower garment out of arrogance."
