Musnad Ahmad 30:2446

Yahya narrated to us, from Ibn ‘Ajlan, who said: Sa‘id narrated to me, from Abu Hurayrah, who said: And I heard my father narrating from Abu Hurayrah, from the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace. I said to Yahya: "Both of them [are] from the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace?" He said: "Yes." He said: "Two traits of the affair of the Jahiliyyah (pre-Islamic ignorance) that people will never abandon: wailing [over the dead] and casting aspersions upon lineage."
