Musnad Ahmad 30:2460

Yahya narrated to us, from Ibn ‘Ajlan, who said: I heard my father, from Abu Hurayrah, from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), who said: "We have not made peace with them since we fought them. Whoever leaves something out of fear, he is not of us." He meant the snakes.
