Musnad Ahmad 30:2477

'Abd al-Malik ibn 'Amr narrated to us, Hisham narrated to us, from Yahya, from Abu Salamah, from Abu Hurayrah, from the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, who said: "The previously married woman shall not be married until she is consulted, and the virgin shall not be married until she gives permission." It was said: "O Messenger of Allah, and how is her permission?" He said: "That she remains silent."
