Hadith 30:2480

Yahya narrated to us, from Ibn Abi Dhi’b, and Yazid ibn Harun, who said: Ibn Abi Dhi’b informed us of the meaning, he said: Sa’id ibn Sam’an narrated to us, he said: Abu Hurayrah came to us in the mosque of Banu Zurayq, and said: There were three things the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, used to do, which the people have abandoned: "He used to raise his hands, extending them, when he entered into the prayer; and he would say the takbir whenever he bowed and rose; and the silence before the recitation, asking Allah of His bounty." Yazid said: "He would supplicate and ask Allah of His bounty."
