Waki’ narrated to us, he said: Sufyan narrated to us, from ‘Asim ibn ‘Ubayd Allah, from ‘Ubayd, the freed slave of Abu Ruhm, from Abu Hurayrah, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Any woman who applies perfume, then goes out to the mosque so that its scent may be perceived, her prayer shall not be accepted from her until she performs ghusl (a full ritual bath) like her ghusl from sexual impurity (janabah)."
