Musnad Ahmad 30:2639

Waki’ narrated to us, from Sufyan, from Dawud ibn Abi Hind, from a sheikh who heard Abu Hurairah say: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "A time will come upon the people in which a man will be given a choice between incapacity and wickedness, so let him choose incapacity over wickedness."
