Hadith 30:270
Sufyan narrated to us, from ‘Amr, from Yahya ibn Ja‘dah, from ‘Abdullah ibn ‘Amr al-Qari, who said: I heard Abu Hurayrah saying: "No, by the Lord of this House, it was not I who said: 'Whoever wakes up in a state of janabah (major ritual impurity) should not fast.' Muhammad, by the Lord of the House, said it. It was not I who forbade fasting on the day of Friday; Muhammad forbade it, by the Lord of the House."
حدثنا سفيان، عن عمرو، عن يحيى بن جعدة، عن عبد الله بن عمرو القاري، قال: سمعت أبا هريرة، يقول: لا ورب هذا البيت ما أنا قلت: " من أصبح جنبا فلا يصوم " محمد ورب البيت قاله، ما أنا نهيت عن صيام يوم الجمعة، محمد نهى عنه ورب البيت . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
