Hadith 30:2752

Muhammad ibn Ja‘far narrated to us, he said: Shu‘bah narrated to us, from Salamah ibn Kuhayl, from Abu Salamah, from Abu Hurayrah, who said: A man had a right [a debt] upon the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and he spoke harshly to him. The companions of the Messenger of Allah intended to [harm] him, but the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said to them: "Indeed, the possessor of a right has a statement [the right to speak]." He then said to them: "Buy a camel of the same age for him and give it to him." They said: "We do not find except a camel of an age better than his." He said: "Buy it for him and give it to him." He then said: "Indeed, the best of you—or your best—is the best of you in repayment."
