Musnad Ahmad 30:2758

Muhammad ibn Ja‘far and Hajjaj narrated to us, they said: Shu‘bah narrated to us, from Muhammad ibn Ziyad, from Abu Hurayrah, from the Prophet (peace be upon him). Hajjaj said in his narration: He said: I heard Abu Hurayrah say: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said—or Abu al-Qasim said that he said—: "While a man was walking, wearing a garment, with his hair groomed, admiring himself, he was suddenly swallowed by the earth, and he will continue to sink into it until the Day of Resurrection." And Hajjaj said: "When Allah caused the earth to swallow him."
