Musnad Ahmad 30:286

Isma'il narrated to us, Hajjaj bin Abi 'Uthman narrated to us, from Yahya bin Abi Kathir, from Abu Salamah, from Abu Hurairah, who said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "The previously married woman is to be consulted regarding herself, and the virgin is to be asked for permission." They said: "O Messenger of Allah, how is her permission?" He said: "That she remains silent."
