Musnad Ahmad 30:2897

'Abd al-Rahman narrated to us, Hammad narrated to us, from Muhammad ibn Ziyad, who said: I heard Abu Hurayrah saying: Dates from the charity dates were brought to the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and he gave an order regarding them. Then he carried al-Hasan or al-Husayn on his shoulder, and his saliva was flowing. He looked at him, and behold, he was chewing a date from the charity dates. He said: So he said: "Throw it away. Do you not realize that the family of Muhammad do not eat charity?"
