Hadith 30:3084
Muhammad ibn Ja'far and Rawh—the meaning is the same—said: Shu'bah narrated to us, from Sulayman, from Dhakwan, from Abu Hurayrah, from the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, that he said: "There is no envy except in two: A man whom Allah has given the Qur'an, so he recites it during the hours of the night and the day, and a man heard him and said: 'Would that I had been given the like of what this one has been given, so that I might act in it as this one acts in it.' And a man whom Allah has given wealth, so he spends it in the truth, and a man said: 'Would that I had been given the like of what this one has been given, so that I might act in it as this one acts in it.'"
