Surayj narrated to us, he said: Fulayh narrated to us, from Hilal ibn Ali, from Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Amrah, from Abu Hurayrah, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Leave me as I have left you, for those who were before you were only destroyed by their excessive questioning and their disagreement with their prophets. But whatever I have forbidden you, then abstain from it, and whatever I have commanded you, then perform of it as much as you are able."
