Musnad Ahmad 30:3191

Isma'il narrated to us, he said: Sa'id al-Jurayri informed us, from Mudharib ibn Hazn, he said: I said—meaning to Abu Hurayrah—: "Have you heard anything from your intimate friend that you can narrate to me?" He said: "Yes, I heard him, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, say: 'There is no contagion, no Hamah (an owl or a bird of ill omen), the best of omens is the good omen (al-fa'l), and the evil eye is true.'"
