Musnad Ahmad 30:3240

Muhammad ibn Ja‘far narrated to us, he said: Hisham informed us, from Muhammad, from Abu Hurayrah, who said: "The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) forbade two types of clothing and two types of sales. As for the two types of clothing: that a man should sit in a single garment with nothing of it covering his private parts, and that he should wrap himself in a garment while lifting its two ends onto his shoulders. As for the two types of sales: they are *al-lams* (touching) and *al-ilqa’* (casting)."
