Musnad Abu Hurairah (RA)

Hadith 30:3325

Hashim narrated to us, Mubarak narrated to us, from al-Hasan, who said: While Abu Hurayrah was speaking to his companions, a man approached Abu Hurayrah while he was in the gathering. He approached wearing a garment of his, and he began to strut in it until he stood over Abu Hurayrah. He said: "O Abu Hurayrah, do you have any legal opinion regarding this garment of mine?" He raised his head toward him and said: "The Truthful, the Believed, my intimate friend Abu al-Qasim (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) narrated to me, saying: 'While a man from those who were before you was strutting in two garments, Allah became angry with him, so He commanded the earth, and it swallowed him. By the One in Whose hand is my soul, he is sinking into it until the Day of Resurrection.'" "Go, O man, until the Day of Resurrection."
