Musnad Ahmad 30:3370

Yazid narrated to us, Muhammad informed us, from Musa ibn Yasar, from Abu Hurayrah, and from Abu al-Zinad, from al-A'raj, from Abu Hurayrah, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: "A woman entered the Fire because of a cat, or a female cat, which she tied up. She neither fed it, nor did she release it to eat from the vermin of the earth, until it died in its bonds from emaciation."
