Musnad Ahmad 30:3404

Yazid narrated to us, Muhammad informed us, from Abu Salamah, from Abu Hurairah, who said: "The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) forbade two transactions in one transaction, and two types of clothing: that one of you should sit in a garment (ihtiba') while there is nothing between his private parts and the sky, and the 'Samma' wrapping, which is the wrapping of the Jews." And Muhammad described it for us by placing it on one of his sides, then lifting it.
