Musnad Ahmad 30:3437

Yazid narrated to us, Ibn Abi Dhi’b informed us, from al-Zuhri, from Abu ‘Abd Allah al-Agharr, from Abu Hurayrah, from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), who said: "When it is the day of Jumu’ah, the angels stand at the doors of the mosque, and they record the first [to arrive], then the next. The likeness of the one who goes early to Jumu’ah is like the one who offers a camel as a sacrifice, then like the one who offers a cow, then like the one who offers a ram, then like the one who offers a chicken, then like the one who offers an egg. So when the Imam comes out and sits on the pulpit, they fold their scrolls and sit listening to the reminder."
