Yazid narrated to us, Mas'udi informed us, from 'Imran ibn 'Umayr, who said: I complained to 'Ubayd Allah ibn 'Abd Allah about some people who withheld water from me. He said: I heard Abu Hurayrah—Mas'udi said: And I do not know it except that he attributed it to the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace—saying: "The surplus of water shall not be withheld after it is no longer needed, nor the surplus of pasture."
