Musnad Ahmad 30:3453

Yazid narrated to us, Hisham informed us, from Muhammad, from Abu Hurayrah, from the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him: "A woman entered the Fire because of a cat which she tied up. She did not let it eat from the vermin of the earth, and she did not feed it, nor did she give it water to drink, until it died."
