Musnad Ahmad 30:347

Abu Kamil narrated to us, Ibrahim—meaning Ibn Sa'd—narrated to us, Ibn Shihab narrated to us, from Sa'id ibn al-Musayyib and Abu Salamah ibn 'Abd al-Rahman, from Abu Hurairah, that the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace), when he wanted to supplicate against someone or supplicate for someone, he would perform Qunut after the bowing (ruku'). He would perhaps say—when he said: "Allah hears those who praise Him, our Lord, and to You is the praise"—: "O Allah, save al-Walid ibn al-Walid, Salamah ibn Hisham, 'Ayyash ibn Abi Rabi'ah, and the oppressed among the believers. O Allah, intensify Your grip upon Mudar, and make them years like the years of Yusuf." He said: He would recite that aloud. And he would say in some of his prayers, in the dawn prayer: "O Allah, curse so-and-so and so-and-so," two tribes of the Arabs, until Allah the Almighty and Majestic revealed: "Not for you is the decision whether He turns to them in mercy or punishes them, for indeed, they are wrongdoers" [Al 'Imran: 128].
