Musnad Ahmad 30:3546

Rawh narrated to us, Ibn Abi Dhi’b narrated to us, from al-Maqburi, from Abu Hurayrah, that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "None of you will be saved by his deeds." They said: "Not even you, O Messenger of Allah?" He said: "Not even me, unless Allah covers me with mercy from Him. So act correctly, draw near [to the truth], set out early, set out late, and [use] a portion of the night journey. Moderation, moderation, you will reach [your goal]."
