'Abd al-Malik ibn 'Amr narrated to us, Zuhayr narrated to us, from Zayd ibn Aslam, from Abu Salih, from Abu Hurayrah, from the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, who said: God the Almighty said: "I am as My servant expects Me to be, and I am with him when he remembers Me. And God is more joyful at the repentance of His servant than one of you who finds his lost item in the wilderness. Whoever draws near to Me by a span, I draw near to him by a cubit; and whoever draws near to Me by a cubit, I draw near to him by an arm's length; and if he comes to Me walking, I come to him rushing."
