Musnad Ahmad 30:3669

Yahya ibn Adam narrated to us, 'Abdah—meaning Ibn Sulayman—narrated to us, from Muhammad ibn Ishaq, from Muhammad ibn Ibrahim, from Salman, who said: I heard Abu Hurayrah saying: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saying: "Indeed, Allah, the Almighty and Majestic, grants a people the night with blessing, then they wake up, and most of them are disbelievers, saying: 'We were given rain by such-and-such star.'" He said: So I narrated this hadith to Sa'id ibn al-Musayyib, and he said: "And we have also heard that from Abu Hurayrah."
