Yahya ibn Adam narrated to us, Abu Bakr ibn Ayyash narrated to us, from Asim ibn Abi al-Najud, from Abu Salih, from Abu Hurayrah, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) entered the mosque for the final Isha prayer, and behold, they were in scattered groups. He became angry with an anger the likes of which I have never seen him more angry than. Then he said: "If a man were to call people to a bone or two targets, they would come for that, yet they lag behind from the prayer. I have indeed considered commanding a man to lead the people in prayer, then I would follow those in these houses whose people lag behind from this prayer, and I would set them on fire upon them."
