Abdullah ibn Yazid narrated to us, Sa’id—meaning Ibn Abi Ayyub—narrated to us, Muhammad ibn ‘Ajlan narrated to us, from his father, from Abu Hurayrah, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "I am more entitled to the believer than his own self. Whoever leaves behind a debt or dependents, then let it come to me, for there is no loss upon him. Let him call upon me, and I am his guardian. And whoever leaves behind wealth, then it is for his agnatic heirs (asabah), whoever they may be."
